We are looking for an engineer who doesn't just "support servers" but can rethink infrastructure architecture, automate processes, and become a technical expert for implementing appliance solutions for clients.
Currently, they operate in an "all-in-one" mode, and the main task is to ensure operation under high load, make them fault-tolerant, and prepare them for transfer to clients for self-deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operation of infrastructure services under load;
- Ensure the fault tolerance of infrastructure services;
- Ensure and maintain the currency of infrastructure service versions;
- Provide customer support during the initial deployment and subsequent operation of infrastructure services.
Technical Requirements:
- OC Linux: Confident administration at the level of an experienced engineer (kernel, systemd, schedulers, networking (iptables/nftables, routing), disk management).
- Networking: Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack, VLANs, routing, VPN tunnels.
- Virtualization: Experience in deploying and managing virtual environments (Proxmox, KVM, VMware).
- Containerization: In-depth work with Docker + Docker Compose. Understanding layers, volumes, network drivers.
- Storage: Experience in configuring and maintaining S3-compatible storage (MinIO, Ceph, or AWS S3).
- Monitoring: Full cycle configuration of Grafana + Telegraf (metrics collection, dashboards, alerting).
- Authentication: FreeIPA administration (policies, integration with services, working with Kerberos/LDAP).
- Secrets: Work with HashiCorp Vault (dynamic secrets, authorization, key management).
- File Systems: NFS (v4) configuration and optimization in clustered environments.
- Kubernetes: Confident cluster administration (installation, updates, working with Ingress, StorageClass, Helm).
- Ansible: Industrial scenarios (roles, modules, dynamic inventories, AWX/Tower).
- Bash: Scripts for routine tasks.
- Python or Go: Ability to write small utilities/clients for automating complex scenarios (one language at a confident level is sufficient, the second is a bonus).
- Experience with artifact building: Multi-stage Docker builds (optimizing image size and security).
- Understanding of CI/CD (GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / Jenkins).
