Head of AI at Sber

Sber is looking for a Head of AI Transformation to be responsible for the development and implementation of the artificial intelligence adoption strategy within the Global Markets divisions (Trading, Sales, Research, Risk). This role will involve building and developing AI teams, conducting R&D on new AI solutions, and implementing AI development processes within the bank's product and technology teams.

Responsibilities:

AI Transformation of Global Markets Business:

• Identifying and prioritizing AI application scenarios in Trading, Sales, and other Global Markets divisions.
• Developing the AI transformation roadmap.
• Seeking and launching initiatives with measurable business impact.
• Collaborating with business leaders, traders, sales representatives, analysts, and IT teams.
• Evaluating the economic impact and ROI of AI initiatives.

R&D of AI Solutions:

• Researching and evaluating new AI technologies and approaches.
• Conducting pilot projects and Proof of Concepts.
• Selecting technological stacks and architectural solutions.
• Analyzing global practices and trends in Generative AI and Machine Learning.

Building AI Platform and Processes:

• Developing AI development standards.
• Creating methodologies for using AI agents and LLMs.
• Establishing processes for scaling AI practices across other teams.
• Implementing AI development efficiency metrics.
• Organizing MLOps/LLMOps processes.

Team Management:

• Building and developing the AI team.
• Hiring and developing specialists.
• Managing the AI initiatives portfolio.
• Setting goals and monitoring execution.
• Coordinating work with IT, business, and external vendors.

Requirements:

• Experience managing teams of 10+ people.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs.
• Experience building a new department or center of expertise.
• Experience working with Head/Director level executives.
• Understanding of the specifics of global/financial market products.
• LLM (GPT, Claude, Gemini, LLaMA, etc.).
• RAG architectures.
• Fine-tuning and LoRA.
• Embeddings and vector databases.
• AI Agents and Multi-Agent Systems.
• Prompt Engineering.
• ML approaches and ML model lifecycle.
• MLOps and LLMOps.
• AI system quality assessment.
