Senior Java Developer (Cloud-Native)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to strengthen our engineering team. The ideal candidate is a strong backend developer with experience in GCP and an understanding of modern DevOps approaches.

📰 Project Description

The project is a scalable conversational marketing platform that allows brands and media companies to create, manage, and launch chat-oriented interactions in advertising formats, social networks, and messengers. The platform supports seamless transitions from text communication to interactive chat scenarios. The system integrates with Google services, social platforms, corporate messengers, as well as SMS, MMS, and RCS aggregators. Various media formats and interactive elements are supported.

💻 Responsibilities

⚫️ Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot

⚫️ Designing and optimizing data structures in MySQL and Redis

⚫️ Developing and maintaining cloud-native applications in Google Cloud Platform

⚫️ Implementing event-driven architecture using Pub/Sub

⚫️ Writing high-quality, maintainable, and testable code (unit and integration tests)

⚫️ Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions

⚫️ Collaborating with an international team in English (correspondence, meetings)

⚙️ Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Java development experience

• Solid experience with Spring Boot

• Deep understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and in-memory stores (Redis)

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, GKE, Pub/Sub)

• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD)

• Ability to write unit and integration tests

• English language level - B2

➕ Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes in production

• Experience in designing distributed systems

• Knowledge of performance optimization approaches and JVM tuning

• Experience in building CI/CD processes and managing infrastructure through IaC

• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, 5 days a week.

• Timezone close to CET (+/- 2-3 hours).
