Lead ML Engineer (Quant Researcher)

We develop and implement trading strategies in cryptocurrency and traditional markets. We are looking for specialists who can apply ML / quantitative research to find market patterns, generate signals, and build profitable strategies.

Team:

• Small team without bureaucracy — we make decisions and test hypotheses quickly • Graduates of top universities (HSE, MIPT, Skoltech, etc.), many with a background from ShD / olympiads • Main office — Serbia + distributed team

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a strong Senior / Lead specialist with experience in ML-driven trading / quantitative research.

Important skills: ability to independently find and validate trading ideas, build a research pipeline, and bring strategies to a production-ready state.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in developing profitable trading strategies / ML-driven strategies • Excellent knowledge of Python and the ML stack (NumPy, numba, PyTorch / JAX, scikit-learn) • Strong mathematical / statistical background • Experience working with time-series / market data • Experience in building, testing, and validating hypotheses / signals / models • Understanding of trading principles, market analysis, and market data • Experience in quantitative / ML research

Will be a plus:

• Ability to read, analyze, and optimize C++ code • Experience in industrial development / production ML systems • Experience in HFT / arbitrage / market making strategies • Experience working with low-latency systems • Olympiad or academic background (Vseros, ICPC, Kaggle, ShD) • Publications / articles at top ML conferences • Achievements in strong ML / DS / Quant competitions • Experience in developing complex ML / DL models

Responsibilities:

• Development and improvement of trading strategies • Development of ML / quantitative models for forecasting and signal generation • Analysis of time series and market data in real-time • Hypothesis testing and improvement of existing strategies • Optimization of algorithm speed and efficiency • Work with research / backtesting infrastructure • Potentially — team development and new directions for yourself
