CTO

We are looking for a CTO at Neybo — an AI companion for children on a physical device with a parent app.

You will become a technical partner to the product co-founder, on par with them. You will be responsible for the apps and their connection to the device, the tech stack, releases, and the engineering team. Initially, you will write a lot of code yourself. As founding and LLM engineers join the team, the focus will shift to validating and reviewing their solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the parent app and backend: device binding, accounts, parental controls, activity history, data deletion
• Release iOS and Android updates with staged rollout and rollbacks
• Select and defend the tech stack, decide what runs on the device and what runs in the cloud
• Lead the LLM engineer, be responsible for session cost and the agent layer in the product
• Oversee the technical aspects of child privacy, with the authority to halt releases for security reasons
• Design the development team, conduct technical interviews, and establish engineering practices

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in full-stack development, with iOS and Android apps in production
• Experience creating children's or educational products, including working with children's data
• 3+ years of technical leadership
• AI tools and agents as part of daily work
• Launched applications that can be showcased (links to stores, demos, or product names), English B2+

Bonus Points

• An application related to a physical educational device
• Speech technologies (STT/TTS) and child privacy practices, e.g., COPPA
• Experience with LLM and agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and similar)
• React Native, Expo, Next.js, GraphQL

Format: full-time, remote, B2B contract, Europe or LATAM, overlap with CET, travel to the contract manufacturer at key production stages.
