Analyst-Developer (DevEx Analytics)

We are the Common Tools and Processes team of the Search Services and AI Business Group. Our group includes key company products: Alice, Search, Advertising, and other services. We operate as a horizontal platform and create tools, technologies, and processes used by all product teams.

We are currently developing the DevEx (Developer Experience) direction — measuring and improving the development experience for the entire business group.

We are looking for an analyst-developer who will help build and develop the DevEx metrics system based on data from engineering systems: repositories, code reviews, CI/CD, task trackers, and other sources. The results of your work will directly impact engineering processes and strategic decisions across the entire business group.

What tasks await you

Development of DevEx metrics and analytics Formulate, calculate, and develop metrics that describe development processes and engineer experience.

Development of data pipelines Design and implement pipelines for obtaining and processing data from engineering systems.

Formation of an analytical data warehouse (DWH) Design and develop a DWH for DevEx analytics.

Development of data marts and dashboards Create analytical data marts and dashboards used by managers and development teams.

We expect that you

• Have over three years of experience in data analytics
• Have confident command of Python and SQL and are ready to write production code
• Love delving into details and understanding what exactly is happening in processes
• Know how to validate analysis results and draw clear conclusions for different audiences
• Know how to interact with various teams and customers
