In two years, FinTech has transformed from a startup into a full-fledged product used by millions of people. At the same time, FinTech services continue to develop actively, allowing one to be at the origins of many projects and influence them.

One such project is the "Analytical Data Warehouse," which will contain data from all services. This is a complex but interesting task, solved using modern approaches and technologies. The project is in its infancy, which means there is no legacy, but there are many plans and opportunities to implement your ideas.

In our team, we study the interaction between business and data, find optimal ways to integrate them into our warehouse, making them accessible and understandable for users. Furthermore, we are creating a monitoring system to track how our data is used and continuously improve it. An important part of our work is supporting the infrastructure, which becomes a reliable foundation for solving analytical tasks.

What tasks await you

Formulating data requirements You will study business processes, analysts' tasks, and raw data. Based on the analysis, it is necessary to formulate requirements for the final data and methods of its delivery, which are effectively integrated into the data warehouse.

Analysis of new requirements You will work with existing and new requirements, validate data, identify their overlaps and contradictions, and propose solutions in complex situations.

Working with data It is necessary to promptly inform warehouse users about new objects and help them use them effectively, as well as, together with analysts, build infrastructure for working with data and optimizing queries.

Developing the knowledge base You will add and disseminate information about our data and approaches to processing it in internal services for maintaining documentation.

Effective communication You will formalize requirements for data providers, automate data ordering processes, etc.

We expect you to

• Be able to identify, structure, and describe the requirements of business users and customers
• Carefully assign tasks to developers and can preliminarily conduct analysis of data and requirements
• Know the principles and features of building data warehouses
• Understand the principles of building ETL processes
• Have a good knowledge of SQL and understand the architecture of modern database management systems
• Write analytical code in Python

Will be a plus

• Participated in designing data warehouses
• Supervised interns or junior specialists
• Worked using the Agile methodology
• Independently created ETL and ELT processes
• Familiar with specialized analytical databases (Greenplum, Vertica, ClickHouse, Teradata) and with analytical tools based on Python (Jupyter, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib)
• Publish your code in an accessible repository, write articles, speak at conferences
