DWH System Analyst at Yandex Go

We need data partners (data partner) — data owners as a product. You will work with data consumers and data engineers, listen and understand their problems, suggest and explain ways to solve problems, and also protect the interests of business customers when using data from the warehouse.

We are launching a project to create a corporate data warehouse (DWH) for a fleet of autonomous rovers. We need a system analyst who is not afraid to dive deep into the design of robots, their sensors, and control logic. You will be responsible for designing ETL processes, data ontologies, and data marts that will allow for analyzing routes, condition, and efficiency of each unit of equipment.

What tasks await you

Gathering and studying requirements You will gather, analyze, and formalize requirements for the warehouse in terms of building analytical reports, dashboards, data exports, and data exchange mechanisms. You will need to check the consistency of new requirements with old ones, find contradictions, and propose solutions for controversial situations.

Data analysis Profile and analyze data, find patterns in it. Connect new sources to launch products and experiments.

Design Design and develop warehouse objects and integrate them into the overall logical model.

We expect that you

• Participated in data warehouse development projects
• Understand what ETL processes are
• Can identify and decompose requirements related to business users
• Understand Data Vault, Anchor Modeling, star schemas, OLAP cubes, their pros and cons, usage patterns
• Understand the difference between batch and streaming data processing
• Are familiar with incremental approaches to building data marts
• Are knowledgeable in database theory, know SQL at a native language level
• Are ready to nurture and cherish the data in your area of responsibility and understand complex business processes
