What you will be doing:
- Ensure data collection and organize data loading processes into analytical systems, including obtaining structured data from various sources, perform preparation, cleaning, and preprocessing of data from external sources, build aggregates
- Develop DWH objects on PostgreSQL using the Greenplum DBMS
- Calculate complex analytical metrics
- Participate in refining business hypotheses and suggest ideas for improving our application
- Participate in testing and supporting developed services to ensure their stable and reliable operation
- Prepare AD-HOC reports as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to work with large volumes of data using SQL (DML and DDL dialects in PostgreSQL)
- Experience in optimizing SQL queries across multiple tables and data sources, ability to combine aggregate and window functions, write stored procedures and UDFs, create Views
- Understanding of DWH architecture design and knowledge of key design methodologies
- Knowledge and ability to apply key areas of statistics for working with data (knowledge of various distribution types, understanding of what confidence intervals and outlier detection are, and ability to use them)
- Experience with data-pipelines (knowledge of how to get data from a source, check its quality, perform aggregation, and derive useful insights based on it)
- Experience working in SCRUM / AGILE and using JIRA and Confluence.
It will be a plus to know Python with its main frameworks: Pandas, Numpy, Sklearn, and the ability to demonstrate/tell about real cases of their application (work experience, or pet-projects).
