Our team develops a proprietary DBMS based on open source PostgreSQL, designed to meet increased requirements for the security of stored information, reliability, availability, and ease of maintenance.
In addition to the DBMS itself, we are developing deployment and product update tools, a graphical DBMS management console, as well as a rich set of various utilities and extensions.
The product is the target DBMS of Sber and is currently used in more than 500 automated systems, which amounts to over 10,000 active installations.

- analysis of requirements, design, and implementation of new functionality in the form of modifications to the PostgreSQL kernel, Patroni, pgBouncer, PostgreSQL extensions, and the implementation of various utilities
- participation, together with the team, in making architectural and technical decisions
- participation in code review.

Requirements
- experience with ANSI C
- knowledge of DBMS fundamentals: data structures, MVCC, ACID and BASE principles
- skill in working with generative AI models; experience in creating AI agents and using them in work will be an advantage
- experience in using GigaChat, Kandinsky, and similar tools in products, skills in creating and using AI agents
- instrumental proficiency in AI for analysis, generation, and automation
- high engineering discipline and a responsible attitude towards code quality.

- understanding of PostgreSQL operating principles
- experience in developing open source solutions
- experience with encryption algorithms
- experience in developing fault-tolerant distributed systems
- experience with software development/build/delivery automation tools (CI/CD)
- experience in profiling.
