We are developing one of the largest flagship services for student assistance in Russia and the CIS — Studwork. We are also developing a project for freelancers — Work 24.
We are currently looking for a backend developer to join our team working on current projects and launching new ones.
What you will be doing:
- Developing and maintaining projects in PHP (Yii2);
- Participating in the technical solutions design process;
- Working with PostgreSQL, including query design and optimization;
- Writing and refactoring code;
- Working with the database (CRUD queries, migrations);
- Covering code with unit tests;
- Gradually getting involved in CI/CD and development tools (Docker, OpenAPI);
- Participating in writing technical documentation.
Our stack:
Backend: PHP 8.0+, Yii2;
Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis;
Streams and messages: Elasticsearch, Nginx Nchan module (WebSockets), RabbitMQ — broker;
DevOps: Docker, Docker Compose, GitHub;
Monitoring: Grafana;
Documentation: Architecture Decision Record (ADR), OpenAPI (Swagger);
Architecture: DDD, monolith.
What is important for successful task completion:
- Proficient knowledge of PHP 8.0 at a middle level;
- Experience with the PHP framework Yii2;
- Willingness to work with the Yii3 framework;
- Fluent command of the Linux console;
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL: complex queries, indexes, optimizations;
- Solid knowledge of Redis (caching, optimization);
- Experience participating in solution design processes;
- Experience working with legacy code;
- Experience interacting with message queues;
- Experience working with Docker, Docker Compose, understanding containerization, dependency management;
- Ability to clearly formulate and convey your thoughts;
- Understanding of OOP, SOLID, design patterns;
- Experience developing REST APIs, understanding HTTP principles;
- Understanding of core principles of clean architecture and DDD;
- Experience working in a team, independence, and responsibility;
- Excellent knowledge of the Russian language for team communication.
Will be a plus:
- Skills in working with JavaScript, Nuxt JS;
- Experience working with RabbitMQ, message queues;
- Experience interacting with full-text search;
- Experience in product companies.
