Location: Limassol, Cyprus | hybrid format | up to €4,000 net**
We are looking for a Payroll Manager for an international product company to manage payroll for Cyprus and potentially one other legal entity.
Currently, payroll for Cyprus is primarily handled by an external provider, but the company is gradually bringing the process in-house. Approximately 70 employees are officially employed in Cyprus, and the team continues to grow. There are also B2B contractors working on invoices.
This role is for someone who can not only perform calculations but also independently resolve new cases, build processes, and work in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle for employees employed in Cyprus.
- Perform gross-to-net and net-to-gross calculations.
- Calculate salaries, taxes, social contributions, and other mandatory deductions.
- Verify source data, payroll sheets, and the correctness of accruals.
- Interact with the local payroll provider.
- Participate in the gradual in-house transfer of Cyprus payroll from the provider.
- Prepare statements and registers for transfer to Treasury.
- Monitor deadlines for salary payments, taxes, and mandatory contributions.
- Work with B2B contractors, invoices, bonuses, and related payments.
- Liaise with the Head of Payroll, accounting, treasury, and HR administrators.
- Participate in the optimization, automation, and documentation of payroll processes.
- Direct payment execution will not be required: Payroll prepares and verifies the statements, while Treasury handles the actual payments.
Requirements
- Practical experience in independent payroll management.
- Understanding of the full payroll cycle: from receiving source data to reconciling accruals and preparing reports.
- Experience in calculating taxes, social contributions, and other deductions.
- Understanding of gross-to-net / net-to-gross logic.
- Experience working with multiple legal entities, locations, or external payroll providers.
- Proficient in Excel.
- High attention to detail regarding numbers, documents, and deadlines.
- Independence and readiness to find solutions when there is no ready-made instruction.
- Ability to adapt to changes in processes and requirements.
- Fluent Russian and working English.
Advantages
- Practical experience in Cyprus payroll management.
- Knowledge of Cypriot labor and tax legislation.
- Experience with local Cypriot payroll systems.
- Experience in transferring payroll from an external provider in-house.
- Experience working with multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience managing B2B contractors, invoices, and bonus payments.
- Participation in setting up or automating payroll processes.
We are also considering strong specialists without specific Cyprus experience, provided they have international or multi-jurisdictional payroll experience and are willing to quickly immerse themselves in local legislation.
What we offer
- Salary up to €4,000 net, depending on experience.
- Official employment in Cyprus.
- Hybrid work format and a comfortable office in Limassol.
- Assistance with obtaining a work visa and necessary documents.
- Corporate equipment.
- Medical insurance.
- Sports compensation.
- Payment or reimbursement for professional training and language courses.
- Psychological support program.
- Probationary period — 3 months.
- Opportunity to influence processes and participate in building the Cyprus payroll function almost from scratch.
- Work in an international environment with various jurisdictions and employee engagement formats.
