🦄 Description Nekki is a game studio with over 20 years of experience in developing games for mobile devices, PC, and consoles. Games from the Shadow Fight and Vector series have been downloaded over 1 billion times, and the team continues to develop existing franchises and create new projects.

Currently, the studio is looking for an Encounter Game Designer for the Core Game Design team to work on SPINE — a cinematic third-person action game on Unreal Engine 5 with dynamic gun-fu firefights, a deep storyline, and spectacular battles.

🚀 Responsibilities • Create combat encounters based on a ready-made set of opponents • Select enemy formations, positions, and spawn timings • Find unique combinations of opponents and game situations • Prototype and configure encounters in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprints • Conduct playtests, analyze feedback, and balance difficulty • Interact with Level Design, Combat Design, AI, and Narrative Design teams • Integrate encounters into the context of levels and the game world

📚 Required Skills • Proven experience in Encounter Design or Combat Design • Experience in creating combat scenarios from concept to gameplay state • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine • Practical experience with UE5 Blueprints • Understanding of combat situation design principles and balance • Skills in analyzing and improving game experience • Portfolio or work samples are desirable

👍 Nice to Have • Experience with AI systems and Behavior Trees in Unreal Engine • Experience participating in the development of released PC or Console projects • Extensive gaming experience in action games • Technical background • Experience completing the full development cycle of a project
