Backend Developer at Yandex Billing

Billing is Yandex's internal financial platform that helps services monetize. Our system processes business events and transactions from all Yandex services and performs financial calculations for them. About 100 million events pass through it daily, and this number is constantly growing.

We implement features in the platform that enable Yandex services to develop their business and enter new markets. Any major launch of new products in Yandex Eda, Taxi, Direct, Market, Lavka, KinoPoisk, Music, and other services goes through integration with our platform.

What tasks await you

Creating and optimizing technical solutions for the financial platform You will launch new microservices and improve their level of fault tolerance, reliability, and performance.

Developing product features and modifying existing ones to solve business tasks You will solve complex technical tasks to scale and develop a distributed high-load service.

Architecture design You will need to write the backend of financial service microservices, develop infrastructure, development tools, and processes.

We expect that you

• Are proficient in Python or Go
• Know how to build distributed systems
• Have worked with DBMS (preferably PostgreSQL, Oracle) and can write SQL queries
• Approach tasks very responsibly and carefully

Will be a plus

• Have developed financial systems
• Can optimize SQL queries
• Have designed REST APIs
• Have worked with asynchronous programming
