To the tourist base «Berd Tiozhnaya», located in the taiga 160 km from Novosibirsk, they are looking for a Media Volunteer, who will be responsible for filming rafting trips, hikes, daily life, and projects, editing reels, and managing social media.
«Berd Tiozhnaya» is a tourist base 160 km from Novosibirsk, on the Berd River, in the foothills of the Salair Ridge. Around it is taiga, rocks, silence, and stars that are not visible in the city.
The tourist base hosts guests, organizes rafting trips, hikes, corporate events, and family outings. The team also has social projects: «In the Circle of Heroes» (support for families of SVO participants), «Salair Frontier» (teenage shifts), «Guardians of Salair» (volunteer movement).
A person is needed to show all this to the world. Not just dry reports, but lively, warm, genuine footage.
Why the team needs a media volunteer:
Summer is the peak season. Many guests, even more events. Rafting trip after rafting trip, hike after hike, banya, campfire, conversations, people. All this needs to be filmed, edited, and told about.
The team is not looking for a "free operator." They are looking for a creator who is passionate about capturing moments and is ready to live the life of the tourist base to show it to others.
What you will do:
This is not an office job. This is life with a camera in hand.
Filming:
- Rafting trips on the Berd River (from the water and from the shore)
- Hikes in the taiga and to the rocks
- Daily life at the base: morning, evening, banya, campfire
- Social projects (shifts, volunteers, guests)
- Portraits of people who come here
Editing:
- Reels and Shorts for social media (VK, Telegram)
- Short videos about events
- Sometimes – slightly longer stories
Writing:
- Posts and captions for photos/videos
- Storytelling – from a first-person perspective or from the perspective of the base
Important: you don't just "film and leave." You live with the team, which means you become a part of everything that happens.
Conditions:
- Accommodation in summer houses on the territory of the base.
- Tents – only in rare cases (if fully booked).
- Conditions are simple but warm. Shared shower, toilet, kitchen – everything is honest.
- Around – real taiga: to the nearest shop – 5 hours by car, almost no connection (only catches on one hill), silence, stars, river, forest, animals
- Food (products are provided, you cook yourself or with the team)
- Transfer from Koynikha station to the base and back
- Most importantly – creative freedom and life in the taiga, which cannot be bought with money
Who they are looking for:
One person (18+) who:
- Knows how to shoot with a camera (not just a phone)
- Edits video (reels, shorts, short clips)
- Writes texts (posts, captions, stories)
- Is not afraid of the taiga, mud, rain, mosquitoes, and being on their feet
- Is ready to go on hikes, rafting trips, climb rocks
- Knows how to work independently – finds shots, edits, suggests ideas on their own
Not suitable for:
- Those who are afraid of being alone in the forest
- Those who expect to be entertained
- Those who only want to "hang out" and film sunsets
- Those who need constant supervision and approval
Additional information:
- Experience in filming and editing. Examples of work are needed (links, portfolio). Not necessarily a professional, but must be able to shoot and edit at a basic level
- Own equipment. Camera, laptop for editing, chargers, storage devices. The tourist base has no equipment
- Readiness for movement. You will have to shoot not from one spot, but on hikes, during rafting trips, in the mountains. You need to be light on your feet and resilient
- Independence. No one will tell you "go shoot this." You see the shots yourself, edit them yourself, suggest them yourself
