We are looking for an engineer for the alerting and incident management tools development team, who will help us build a system that facilitates the search for and rapid response to problems arising in various parts of Ozon's infrastructure.
The team's task is to provide engineers with convenient monitoring tools.
We are building a completely new platform at Ozon, based on modern technologies. One of the most important aspects of the new platform is its high availability in conjunction with Ozon's existing technologies.
Our stack: Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse, PromQL.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing an alert delivery and on-call management system.
- Developing an alert writing and management system.
- Developing an incident management and reporting system.
- Providing teams with debugging and monitoring tools – dashboards and alerts.
- Integrating with the existing monitoring system based on Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Thanos.
- Consulting developers and technical specialists on integration with the monitoring system and supporting the integration.
We expect:
- Experience in writing clear and testable Go code for 3+ years.
- You have worked with PostgreSQL.
- You are proficient in using the Linux terminal.
- You have worked with distributed systems (microservices, service discovery) and related tools (Docker, orchestration systems).
- You understand the principles of ensuring high application availability and have heard of load balancers and rate limiters.
- You are proactive and not afraid to express your opinion.
It will be a plus:
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse.
- You are interested in analyzing and solving problems in large-scale systems consisting of a large number of components.
- You have worked with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix).
- You have written alerts in PromQL.
- You can debug and optimize code, and automate routine operations.
- Experience with tracing and logging systems.
