Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS & Data Infrastructure)

paytech is a fintech company developing a B2B SaaS platform for payment processing and orchestration. We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help us scale, automate, and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.

🪸 What you'll do: ✔️ Own and improve AWS production infrastructure: availability, security, scalability, and performance; ✔️ Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible; ✔️ Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes; ✔️ Manage Linux systems, networking, and load balancers/reverse proxies (nginx, HAProxy); ✔️ Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting; ✔️ Handle production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence; ✔️ Help design and operate our new DWH on ClickHouse and Amazon Kinesis; ✔️ Strengthen disaster recovery, backups, and capacity planning; ✔️ Optimize AWS costs without compromising reliability; Work closely with development and security teams on architecture.

🍏 Job Requirements:

Must Have ✔️ 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles managing production environments; ✔️ Strong Linux administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning; ✔️ Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS); Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible; ✔️ Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, TLS; ✔️ Strong knowledge of nginx, reverse proxies, and load balancing; ✔️ Experience building CI/CD pipelines; ✔️ Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools; ✔️ Scripting in Bash and/or Python; ✔️ Understanding of infrastructure security, high availability, and disaster recovery; ✔️ Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues; ✔️ Ownership mindset and ability to design and deliver solutions independently.

Nice to Have ✔️ Experience deploying, operating, or optimizing ClickHouse; ✔️ Familiarity with Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, or other streaming technologies; ✔️ Experience supporting data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, or real-time data platforms; ✔️ Experience with Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, or Redis; ✔️ Familiarity with SRE practices, including SLI/SLO definitions, incident management, and capacity planning; ✔️ Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in fintech, particularly PCI DSS; ✔️ Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, or multi-region AWS architectures.
