We are looking for a Communication Art Director at VTB who loves graphic design, can maintain a system, sees details, and has strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Be the “keeper” of the bank's offline style: ensuring the brand looks cohesive and confident in branches, print materials, POS, and at events;
- Work with a branding agency on a refresh: participate in concept development, ask questions, argue constructively, refine, and most importantly — help bring everything to implementation, not just leave it “pretty in a presentation”;
- Translate business objectives into visual solutions, create an understandable visual system that scales across dozens of carriers: build the “skeleton” of offline: mood boards, key visuals, typography principles, grids, rules for photo style/illustrations/infographics;
- Monitor trends in branding and graphic design;
- Supervise contractors (agency/freelance): brief them, provide feedback, approve stages, monitor quality and deadlines;
- Support and develop the internal team: design reviews, “critiques,” skill development, maintaining a unified quality standard;
- Work in conjunction with marketing/PR/product/digital art director so that offline and digital do not exist in different universes;
- Maintain final quality on key projects.
Requirements:
- Higher education in design, advertising, or marketing;
- Love for graphic design;
- Strong foundation in typography: hierarchy, grids, typesetting, working with large volumes of text, font pairings;
- Good visual awareness (“nasmotrennost’”);
- Understanding of how a brand system/guideline is created and how to implement it in real life;
- Communication skills;
- Portfolio demonstrating offline work and style scaling across different carriers.
