Go Developer for Server Infrastructure at Yandex Cloud Company: Yandex Cloud

The Server Infrastructure team is responsible for automating and operating Yandex Cloud infrastructure. We write services that support the lifecycle of servers in the cloud. Join us if you know Python or Go and have experience developing fault-tolerant systems.

The Server Infrastructure team is involved in operating the rapidly growing infrastructure of Yandex Cloud within the Cloud Foundation Services division. We are building a reliable and scalable infrastructure on which user virtual machines and internal services run. In our services, we implement various scenarios for working with hardware: from input, output, and repair processes to seamless OS updates across the entire cluster.

Our services interact with a large number of cloud and general Yandex systems, collecting host data, metrics on the state of hardware and the cluster as a whole, to plan server maintenance and allocate resources. We provide services and tools that simplify and automate internal processes, make the infrastructure more transparent and stable, and relieve engineers of routine work.

We already manage over 20,000 servers in three Yandex data centers, and their number is continuously growing. We develop and constantly improve our server monitoring methods and approaches to automatically diagnose problems in advance and perform maintenance without waiting for servers to fail.

In our work, we use:

• SaltStack and Terraform for infrastructure definition
• TeamCity and Spinnaker for CI/CD processes
