Backend Developer for Ecom Products in Search

We develop products to solve e-commerce tasks in Yandex Search. Our goal is to help users quickly and conveniently solve various tasks before making a purchase: get inspired with recommendation feeds, compare offers, see pros and cons, and discover favorable prices and payment methods.

Tasks awaiting you

Enriching search results with e-commerce data You will enrich search results with data found in online stores: product prices and images, delivery time and payment method information, ratings and review summaries. This requires developing high-load integration between web search and product search.

Creating thematic blocks that address frequent e-commerce scenarios For example, for a query about a specific product, the user will receive a response containing aggregated information about where the product can be ordered, what it looks like and its specifications, and what customers, bloggers, and experts say about it. The block will suggest similar products, and Yandex's AI (Neuro) will answer buyer questions in dialog mode.

Implementing tools for finding the best offer It's important not just to show all data about a product and store, but to give users the ability to compare and filter offers by key parameters. These must be efficient tools that operate under high loads.

We expect you to

• Be proficient in C++ or willing to transition to it
• Know classical algorithms and data structures
• Focus on creating a high-quality final product

It will be a plus if you

• Have developed web services, search or recommendation systems
• Designed distributed systems capable of handling thousands of RPS
• Have experience in product development, particularly in e-commerce
