Circuit Design Engineer for Delivery Robot Development
An autonomous delivery robot is a compact six-wheeled vehicle that navigates sidewalks on its own, using lidars, cameras, and sensors to deliver orders to last-mile customers in urban environments. It operates in any weather, avoids obstacles, interacts with pedestrians, and is integrated into the Yandex ecosystem of services (including Yandex Food, Yandex Lavka, and others).
We develop reliable electronic units for serial production delivery robots: from circuit design and component selection to preparing devices for industrial manufacturing. We are looking for a Circuit Design Engineer who will take on the development of key on-board electronic systems. Development of the robot's electronic systems You will develop power blocks (DC/DC, protection, redundancy), motor control systems (BLDC/brushed, drivers, position sensors), communication interfaces (CAN, UART, Ethernet, USB, RS-485, and others), connect sensors (lidars, IMU, encoders, cameras, current, voltage, temperature sensors), as well as work on auxiliary logic (power control, monitoring, safety circuits).
Conducting tests You will participate in preparing plans and procedures for launching and testing the designed device. It will also be necessary to perform device commissioning, prepare it for validation testing, and make improvements based on issues identified during testing.
Preparation for serial production You will prepare and approve design documentation for serial production, as well as develop test stands and production testing procedures.
