Senior FullStack Engineer (Web/React Native)

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our Fluently team (YC W24). We are building the world's best AI speaking coach that communicates with you and helps you improve your English. We recently went through Y Combinator and raised $2.5M. Over the last 8 months, we've grown from $100k to $7M ARR. The team consists of 15 top professionals (prev. Google, Nvidia, Lyft, Amazon), and both founders have technical and research backgrounds.

What you'll be doing:

Leading the frontend part of the application: 90% - writing code (taking on any tasks), 10% - code review, architecture, technical decisions, testing, QA, deployment. Shipping end-to-end features for web and mobile applications, working with both frontend and backend (to a lesser extent, but you'll have to sometimes).

• Frontend: React, React Native, Expo, Next, Supabase, TypeScript, Zod, React Query, Tailwind (NativeWind), React Native Reanimated, Skia.
• Backend: Node.js, Nest.js, Drizzle ORM, Zod, Supabase, FFmpeg, API design, databases and migrations, integration with external services.
• Integrating ML models (e.g., for audio/text processing) into product pipelines via API — experience with REST is important.
• Building scalable and stable applications (not super highload yet, but with an emphasis on reliability).
• Having some understanding of infra/deployment: experience with Docker/AWS or Vercel/Cloudflare is needed.
• Bonus points: experience with low-level audio work, experience in ML, ability to write in Swift, experience with CallKit.

We value clean and understandable code and development practices (but without fanaticism): turborepo, ESLint, Prettier, CI/CD, tests, logs, git, TBD, code review, docs, openapi, Sentry, etc. Keep it simple, stupid.
