Backend Developer

We are a small but ambitious IT team developing digital products for the gaming industry. Our services are related to popular games — we create tools and platforms that gamers use every day.

We have no bureaucracy or complex hierarchy. We work remotely — from different cities and countries, communicate directly with the founder, and make quick decisions.

About the position:

We are looking for a junior backend developer who will work side-by-side with our Senior Backend developer, gradually taking on more responsibility and growing with the product.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend components using Python + FastAPI
• Work with databases (PostgreSQL) via SQLAlchemy 2.0, asyncpg, and Alembic
• Integrate with Redis, external APIs via httpx
• Implement authentication via PyJWT and OAuth 2.0
• Write asynchronous code (asyncio, Uvicorn)
• Configure settings using pydantic-settings and python-dotenv
• Package applications in Docker, use docker-compose for local development
• Work with Git / GitHub: branches, pull requests, code review
• Document API and key technical decisions

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Python 3.12 and understanding of asynchronous programming (asyncio)
• Experience developing with FastAPI, Pydantic v2 — at least pet projects or academic work
• Basic proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy 2.0 (asyncpg), Alembic
• Understanding of Redis: caching, session storage
• Experience working with httpx for external API calls
• Knowledge of PyJWT and basic OAuth 2.0 mechanisms
• Ability to work with Docker and docker-compose
• Confident work with Git / GitHub: commit, push, pull request, merge
