For the needs of our long-term client we are searching for a Senior level consultant for DBA for DB2 on iSeries (AS400). The specified experience is a must and it is a different knowledgebase that DB2 for Windows, Linus, AIX and mainframe.

Start: asap Length: long-term It is part of a support agreement, and its for around 25 h a month Location: remote in Europe Language: English

Database maintenance for Db2:

Service scope • Monthly reorganization of DB • Optimization of DB • Small enhancements (typical < 4 hours) • Check of log files • Analysing of released patches and recommendations • Review of backup routines • Review of recovery routines • Manage and cleanup of dump files • Check statistics on tables • Rotate log files • Installation of new Db2 versions • Migration of Db2 to new versions • Support outside of office hours • Project activities • Larger enhancements (typical > 4 hours)
