Vacancy: Founding Engineer Format: #remote, project-based employment Company: Unimatch Lab — AI-driven venture studio from Silicon Valley: proprietary AI pipeline and portfolio of AI products, R&D, OKR culture, focus on speed and ownership. Salary range: from $10,000 to $20,000 USD per accepted product (per Statement of Work), terms are fixed in the SoW before start.

We are looking for a founding engineer: you will lead the studio's project from the agreed scope to a production-ready release — mainly backend (models, API, authorization, migrations, background tasks, CI/CD, staging → production with rollback), if necessary — frontend/mobile, integrations, and basic observability at the MVP level. Short cycles (target ~2 weeks for a typical MVP), synchronization with the founder or product manager on scope and DoD, demos along the way, final handover: repository, build, runbook, README, known limitations.

Expectations: ● ~5 years of full-stack experience with a focus on backend: independently design and implement the server-side. ● Vibe-coding as a constant mode: regularly bring features to UI, API, and deploy using AI-assisted tools. ● Product thinking: narrow down the scope, choose the MVP, justify trade-offs, and agree on an acceptable minimum within the deadline. ● Proven production experience in web or mobile: releases, incidents, post-release fixes. ● Speed with measurable results: cases where a committed release was brought to production or released in ~1–2 weeks. ● Portfolio is mandatory: repositories, demos, sample PRs, screen recordings, etc. ● English B2+ for code, documentation, and calls. Studio Stack: ● Core: Node.js, React, Next.js, React Native, Expo, GraphQL, REST, WebSockets, OAuth2, JWT ● AI and Orchestration: LangChain, LangGraph, Mastra, CrewAI, Autogen, MCP, function calling, structured outputs ● Observability: OpenTelemetry, Langfuse, Prometheus, Datadog (or similar) ● Practices: Git, CI/CD, Jira, ADR, SRS Responsibilities: ● Together with the founder or product manager, fix the scope, Definition of Done, release deadline, and production-ready criteria before the sprint start. ● Design and implement the backend; as assigned — frontend or mobile, integrations; basic observability at the MVP level. ● Configure build, CI/CD, staging checks, and production release; in case of failure — rollback to the last stable version; minimal runbook and README. ● Use vibe-coding and agents for routine tasks (drafting tests, documentation, release scripts), controlling quality. ● Show demos during the cycle; final handover: repo, build, startup instructions, list of known limitations.
