Task We need game designers for an indie studio. Those who are interested in this field and have relevant experience in general.

We just get together (online), brainstorm, create, and release. Currently, we are looking for one more person to join the team who loves games and knows how to design them.

It's enough to:

• come up with a mechanic and not break the entire game with it;
• sketch a level layout so the level designer has something to build upon;
• test a build and say: “it slows down here, it's boring here, let's fix it”;
• write a couple of lines of dialogue if the narrative designer is unavailable;
• set a task in the tracker so that it can be read the first time.

If you have done any of this in commercial projects, that's already good.

What you will be doing Everything a game designer typically does in a small studio:

• bring ideas from head to documents, and from documents to the build;
• polish the project with everyone else until it's "not ashamed to show";
• argue until your voice is hoarse, and then go for coffee and come up with something cooler;
• sometimes curse at a build that crashed for no reason;
• feel great when a mechanic suddenly comes to life and you want to play it just like that.

It is mandatory to have solid experience and interest in game design, or education if there's no experience. Game designers with experience working with game engines Unreal Engine and Godot are especially valued. Knowledge of English will give you a serious advantage during consideration.
