The Department of Interactive Services is creating DSTU's digital ecosystem — a set of solutions for automating the university's business processes.
We are looking for a designer who is equally confident in two areas: user interface development (interface graphics, icons, control elements) and the creation of advertising and informational materials (videos, posters, banners).
You will work closely with the development team to ensure that digital products meet modern quality standards, are user-friendly, and are aesthetically refined for both external and internal audiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- developing interfaces for DSTU digital services: page layouts, personal accounts, forms, navigation;
- creating presentation materials: posters, banners, videos;
- participating in product promotion: preparing demos, presenting solutions to convey product value to the client;
- maintaining a unified visual style for all services and compliance with DSTU's corporate style;
- preparing layouts for handover to development (slicing, exporting, describing element states).
What's important to us:
- secondary vocational education;
- experience in web design (portfolio with commercial or educational projects must be sent to chat);
- understanding of interface usability principles and adaptive layout;
- software skills: Figma (primary tool), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator (for graphics), After Effects / Premier Pro (basic level for video work);
- confident use of components and auto-layouts (Auto Layout) in Figma;
- knowledge of basic principles of typography, composition, color correction;
- willingness to accept feedback and make quick edits.
This will be an advantage:
- knowledge of HTML, CSS (at a level sufficient to understand layout construction from a mockup);
- basic knowledge of JavaScript (to understand the logic of interactive elements);
- experience with UI kits and creating design systems "from scratch";
- experience in creating interface animations (Lottie, SVG animation, microinteractions);
- experience with version control systems (Figma with integration, Storybook, Zeplin) — considered an additional advantage;
- experience participating in educational or government projects.
We offer:
- work in one of the largest universities in Southern Russia;
- work schedule: 5/2;
- stable salary (from 60,000 RUB before tax);
- employment according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, full social package (project work/freelance is possible);
- workplace: Rostov-on-Don, Gagarin Square 1;
- annual paid leave of 28 calendar days;
- additional social benefits from the DSTU trade union organization.
DSTU values everyone!
