About the company Karta.io is a FinTech platform (B2C, B2B) with high-trust virtual cards and its own crypto infrastructure: cards are issued in seconds, work in 150+ geos, and can be topped up from any crypto wallet. We have been on the market for 3+ years, have a distributed team of 45+ people worldwide, and operate without micromanagement.

We are looking for a Compliance Head to build end-to-end operational compliance: from onboarding and KYC to transaction monitoring and risk management.

▪️Responsibilities: ▫️ Build AML/KYC/KYB/CTF processes and transaction monitoring ▫️ Analyze suspicious activity/fraud/chargebacks/abuse cases ▫️ Work with banks, PSPs, crypto partners, and regulators ▫️ Conduct sanctions screening (OFAC/EU/UK) and risk assessment ▫️ Participate in the launch of new markets and products ▫️ Work with Sumsub/Onfido, Chainalysis/TRM Labs/Elliptic

▪️You are a good fit if you: ▫️ Have 5–8+ years of experience in Compliance / AML / Risk ▫️ Have built or transformed a compliance system from scratch ▫️ Have designed risk logic and transaction monitoring ▫️ Have a deep understanding of AML/KYC/KYB/sanctions (WW/EU/UK) ▫️ Understand payment flows (cards/PSP) and, at a basic level, crypto flows ▫️ Have worked with banks and payment providers ▫️ Are comfortable taking ownership in conditions of uncertainty ▫️ Have English proficiency of B2+

▪️Will be a plus: ▫️ Experience in crypto/Web3, startups, or iGaming/high-risk.
