Grand Games is looking for a 3D Environment Artist
We are expanding our team and looking for a full-time 3D Environment Artist.
Grand Games is a company based in the EU. We are developing a mobile Open World game in the spirit of GTA Online / GTA RP on Unreal Engine 4.27.2.
Responsibilities
- Creating 3D environments for a mobile open-world game.
- Working with urban objects, props, interiors, and exteriors.
- Preparing assets for Unreal Engine 4.27.2.
- Working with trims, atlases, materials, and optimized pipelines.
- Integrating and setting up assets in UE4.
- Working within the existing visual style and technical constraints of the project.
Requirements
- Experience as a 3D Environment Artist / Prop Artist.
- Proficient in Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or similar 3D software.
- Proficient knowledge of Substance Painter.
- Knowledge of Substance Designer is a valuable skill for us, as we actively work with materials, procedural textures, trims, and atlases.
- Ability to work with trim sheets and texture atlases.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4.
- Understanding of basic game asset optimization:
- polygon count;
- UVs;
- texel density;
- LODs;
- collisions;
- draw calls;
- texture sizes.
Will be a plus
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4.27.2.
- Knowledge of UE4 tools for environment assembly.
- Experience with World Composition and Level Streaming.
- Experience creating environments for open-world projects.
- Experience optimizing content for mobile devices.
- Understanding of the pipeline for modular assets, trims, and atlases.
