We are looking for a Software Engineer who will be responsible for integration with physical equipment: all types of transport (Radio Relay spans, Switches, MPLS nodes).
Subsystems: Transport network and BSS (base stations).
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
- Develop and maintain execution modules (agents, controllers, orchestrators) for automatic configuration and control of operator network equipment
- Integrate with existing infrastructure: SNMP, CLI, NETCONF/RESTCONF/gNMI, exchange via Kafka/RabbitMQ and be connected with inventory, monitoring, and incident management systems
- Create and maintain data models and descriptions: JSON Schema, Protobuf, and MIB tables for telemetry and device commands
- Automate the full cycle «configuration → deployment → monitoring → response» using Python/Go libraries for forming and applying configurations and reacting to network events
- Design and maintain network state storages (PostgreSQL): topologies, service parameters, change history, and rollback scenarios
- Test and validate: unit and integration tests, run automated checks in a test lab with emulators and real equipment
WHAT WE EXPECT
- Practical experience in development with Python or Go (5+ years) working with SNMP, CLI, NETCONF/RESTCONF/gNMI, including creating maintainable libraries and API integrations.
- Skills in working with PostgreSQL (schema design, complex queries), experience with equipment from different vendors, and ability to read technical documentation in English.
- Experience in operating operator networks (5+ years): configuration, monitoring, fault localization, and emergency recovery
- Knowledge of network technologies: IP/ MPLS, Ethernet (802.1Q, QinQ), QoS, redundancy mechanisms (FRR, LAG, VRRP, BFD)
Will be a plus: CI/CD, YANG, gRPC/Protobuf, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes, Prometheus/Grafana, experience in network automation products, experience with CI/CD pipelines
