About the company:
Selectel Cloud is a set of microservices and subsystems for managing virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and networks. The network functions team develops services for managing networks, virtual routers, and load balancers, including its own network functions virtualization and working with OpenStack.
Responsibilities:
• Development of network services in Python and Golang (DNS-as-a-service, load balancers, etc.). • Updating OpenStack network components (octavia, neutron), writing patches and fixes upstream. • Code review and writing unit/functional tests. • Research and design of new component architecture.
Requirements:
• Good knowledge of Python (Flask, SqlAlchemy, Celery, Oslo, Taskflow) and OpenStack specifics. • Experience with microservices and large monolithic projects. • Knowledge of network technologies: VLAN vs VXLAN, routing, BGP, ability to capture and analyze tcpdump. • Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL/ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, Redis. • Skills in API design and application architecture, including microservice architecture. • Confident work in Linux, ability to write bash scripts and configure network interfaces.
Will be a plus:
• Golang development experience. • Experience with OpenStack as a user or developer/administrator. • Knowledge of cloud networking technologies: overlay networks, floating IPs, security groups, NAT, OpenFlow, Open vSwitch, OVSDB. • Practical experience with network equipment and automation (Netconf, SSH, OVSDB).
