An international product IT company that develops and supports high-load projects for large companies, primarily online entertainment services, is expanding its DBA team.
We are currently looking for two specialists: ClickHouse DBA and Greenplum DBA.
Expertise in both DBMS is not required — we are considering candidates with strong experience in either ClickHouse or Greenplum.
Responsibilities:
Depending on your specialization, tasks will be related to ClickHouse or Greenplum:
- Maintain and develop the architecture of data storage and delivery systems;
- Administer and support existing clusters;
- Participate in the design of data warehouse architecture;
- Optimize DB performance, SQL queries, and data schemas;
- Configure replication, sharding, and backup processes;
- Configure and optimize databases for high-load operation;
- Develop monitoring systems;
- Troubleshoot complex incidents, identify the causes of performance degradation and data problems;
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.
What we expect:
For ClickHouse DBA:
- Practical experience in ClickHouse administration;
- Deep understanding of ClickHouse internals: engines, indexes, replication, sharding;
- Experience in configuring and optimizing ClickHouse instances;
- Solid knowledge of Linux, SQL, and Bash;
- Experience with monitoring systems.
For Greenplum DBA:
- Practical experience in Greenplum administration;
- Solid knowledge of Linux;
- Experience with high-load systems;
- Proficiency in one of the scripting languages;
- Understanding of database replication, backup, and monitoring principles.
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with other DBMS: ClickHouse, Greenplum, Vertica, PostgreSQL, or MySQL;
- Experience with Kafka and Debezium;
- Python for automating routine tasks;
- Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack;
- ELK, LogHouse, Graylog;
- Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Pushgateway;
- Understanding of AD, LDAP, Kerberos;
- Experience administering high-load and fault-tolerant systems.

Important: we are not looking for a specialist who necessarily knows both ClickHouse and Greenplum. There are two separate positions — therefore, we will gladly consider candidates with specialized experience in one of these DBMS.
