About Forbes Intelligence
Forbes Intelligence focuses on the collection and validation of data to create Forbes’ data-driven lists and rankings. We work with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce authoritative, timely, and accurate lists for our audience: affluent individuals, C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. These lists also help ranked companies understand how they measure up against others in their industry, sector, or region.
About the Role
Forbes Intelligence is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to drive the operational execution of Accolades lists — from kickoff to publication, in partnership with the Editorial Project Manager.
This position is responsible for keeping projects on schedule, stakeholders aligned, and deliverables completed on time and within scope. You will develop and maintain detailed timelines, define swim lanes for cross-functional teams (editorial, accolades, data/research), track dependencies, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Important: This is not a traditional content production project management role. You will be managing structured, data-driven list-building workflows — coordinating data ingestion, validation, scoring, and cross-functional review cycles for Forbes Accolades rankings. This work is done in close partnership with the Editorial PM to ensure clear delineation between list production and editorial content.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans and Gantt charts for all Forbes Intelligence programs.
- Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and swim lanes across teams: research, editorial, sales, design, marketing, external partners.
- Establish timelines, milestones, and deliverable due dates.
- Track progress, proactively identify risks and bottlenecks.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with the Editorial PM to ensure clear alignment between list production and editorial content, avoiding duplication and ensuring seamless handoffs.
Workflow & Operations Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of research marketing programs in partnership with editorial, coordinating with sales and marketing departments: survey development, fieldwork, analysis, content production, launch.
- Oversee structured list-building processes: data ingestion, validation, cleansing, scoring, QA cycles, and finalization.
- Coordinate execution of list development and audience targeting to meet survey deadlines.
- Track interdependencies across teams, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation on data sources, methodology, audit trails, and version control for each list-building cycle.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between internal teams.
- Run regular status meetings and send clear, actionable recaps.
- Align internal stakeholders before key milestones and deliverables.
- Champion process improvements and standardization to increase team efficiency.
Stakeholder & Client Support
- Prepare timeline documentation and status updates for internal and client use.
- Participate in kickoff meetings and milestone reviews.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon scope and quality standards.
