We are looking for a Senior ML Engineer to join the Tokyo-based startup Noeon Research. The team works on the development of interpretable AI systems based on symbolic approaches, knowledge graphs, and discrete structures. In their work, the team uses formal methods, including ideas from category theory, and integrates them with modern LLMs. Beyond research tasks, they are involved in the development and maintenance of ML systems, model deployment and monitoring, performance optimization, and creating frameworks for solution quality assessment.

What you need for this role 💪 ✨ 3+ years of experience in ML/Applied AI with experience in production deployment and working with LLMs; ✨ Python, Docker/Kubernetes; ✨ MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD; ❣️ Experience in startups or R&D teams will be a plus 🔬

The salary, converted to dollars, is approximately $105k-150k per year + stock options.

Relocation is required, and Noeon will take care of everything: visa, business class flight, corporate housing for the first two months, and an interpreter for banks and doctors. In Tokyo itself, the work is hybrid — you can work from home part of the time.
