Lead QA Engineer
Lead QA Engineer Tech Stack:
PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, REST, GraphQL, JSON, Swagger, Postman, Charles/Fiddler, DevTools, Prometheus/Grafana, Jira, Confluence.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of a testing strategy for a complex microservice architecture.
- Organization and control of the quality of all types of testing: integration, regression, system, acceptance, and smoke testing.
- Leadership of the QA direction in the team: test planning, task distribution, quality control of deliverables.
- In-depth testing of REST API (Postman, Swagger), including complex data validation via SQL queries (PostgreSQL).
- Analysis of network traffic (Charles/Fiddler) and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) for rapid defect localization.
- Audit and review of requirements, technical documentation for contradictions, gaps, and testability.
- Creation and maintenance of test documentation (Test Plan, Check-lists, reports) in Confluence.
- Mentoring and development of QA engineers, conducting code reviews of autotests and test cases.
- Interaction with development, Product Owner, and other stakeholders on product quality issues.
- Continuous improvement of QA processes, implementation of best practices and quality metrics.
- Participation in risk assessment and sprint/release planning.
Requirements:
- QA experience of 5+ years, with at least 2 years in a Lead QA / Senior QA position with leadership experience.
- Experience testing complex distributed microservice systems.
- Excellent command of test design techniques and risk-based testing.
- Advanced SQL skills (complex JOINs, window functions, aggregations, query optimization).
- Deep practical skills in working with DevTools, Postman, Swagger.
- Experience in building and maintaining test documentation (Test Strategy, Test Plans).
- Strong mentoring and development skills for junior/middle QA engineers.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD.
- Developed soft skills: leadership, systems thinking, proactivity, communication and influence skills.
Will be a big plus:
- Load testing experience (JMeter or similar).
- Working with ELK Stack, Grafana, or other logging systems.
- Experience in implementing test automation in a project.
- Knowledge of Performance and Security testing principles.
