We are looking for a Head of finance product at Ozon.
We are seeking a head of a product stream who will take responsibility for the development of the financial ecosystem for sellers and partners: from understandable daily tools — tariffs, subscriptions, advance wallet, and seller/counterparty financial cabinet — to new monetization products, payouts, lending, and factoring.
This role is for someone interested in building a holistic financial platform across different marketplace sales models: managing product economics, finding new revenue streams, improving seller experience, and launching services from scratch.
The team includes several product managers (junior to senior PMs); together, you will work at the intersection of product, finance, monetization, billing, risk management, logistics, and operations, focusing primarily on seller experience and financial metrics.
We are looking for a candidate in Moscow who is ready to work in the office with the team at least 4 days a week. Remote work is not an option.
Responsibilities:
The nearest backlog includes products with high business value, clear demand, and direct impact on GMV, revenue, retention, and seller performance:
- Development of seller tariffs for all operational models, considering logistics development and including tools for tariff management and adjustments.
- Development of counterparty tariffs across all logistics stages: from drop-off point to customs broker or between sorting center and hub. Management of seller tariffs based on used logistics methods.
- Development of the subscription service as one of the key drivers of additional revenue, including premium seller support.
- Creation of paid store management tools and development of mechanisms for security deposits and the seller's advance wallet, which can be replenished and used to pay for services. Development of tools for managing accounts receivable and balance top-ups.
- Working out the penalty model for sellers in collaboration with related teams and defining the optimal scope of responsibility.
- Development of the financial section of the personal account and store economics for all seller operational models, creation of tools for calculating and explaining seller unit economics.
- Creation of paid trust programs for sellers: badges, verifications, extended limits, paid access to specific API methods, and other services.
Building a new line of financial products:
- As part of the development of the financial services product strategy, we expect the backlog to be supplemented with products that will need to be built from scratch – from researching the needs of sellers/logistics partners to launch and scaling.
Areas for Development:
- Flexible seller payouts and a subscription model for accessing them.
- The ability to withdraw the available balance on demand — for example, once every 24 hours, without waiting for the standard settlement cycle.
- Seller financing and factoring, seller rating as a basis for personalized offers.
- Working capital financing, repaid from future sales.
- Insurance products for sellers across all operational models.
- SKU economics: analytics of profitability, costs, and efficiency of product items for the seller in their personal account.
- Search and launch of new products that are not yet defined but could become significant sources of value and monetization.
Why This is Interesting:
- Scale: you will influence the experience of a large base of sellers and partners, launching services from scratch and going through the entire product cycle — from identifying user needs and research to implementation.
- Broad scope of influence: shaping your own strategy — you can develop both basic services with quick impact and create new financial products from scratch.
- Strong team of product managers with middle and senior expertise.
- Opportunity to work on complex tasks at the intersection of product, finance, risks, technology, and international development.
- Business trips abroad — to work with international markets, partners, and explore new opportunities for product development.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Someone who can combine product thinking with strong operational execution and find a balance between seller experience and business needs.
- Understanding of marketplace and seller economics: commissions, tariffs, payouts, settlements, accounts receivable, unit economics.
- Ability to work with monetization: subscriptions, paid services, tariff models, packaging, and value proposition.
- Skill in forming product strategy and roadmap in conditions of high uncertainty.
- Ability to translate complex financial or operational logic into a user-friendly product.
- Strong communication skills: you will need to build solutions with a large number of stakeholders and defend priorities.
Will be an advantage:
- Experience working in marketplace ecosystems, e-commerce, banking, payment services, experience launching B2B services.
- Launching credit products, scoring models, factoring, fast payouts.
