Choose your specialization:
Product Analytics
Help teams make product decisions and evaluate the effectiveness of changes.
Examples of tasks:
- Launching and analyzing A/B tests (hypothesis, duration, statistical significance, conclusions).
- Setting up logging of key user events.
- Validating event data (completeness, correctness, duplicates).
- Building and analyzing user action funnels.
- Performing ad-hoc analytical requests.
- Creating a data mart for a business case.
- Refactoring and optimizing simple SQL queries and data marts.
- Creating dashboards with basic charts and filters.
BI Development
Extract and analyze data, and turn it into understandable visualizations.
Examples of tasks:
- Studying processes and metrics, their development and control.
- Participating in the development of analytical tools that will help managers make more accurate and timely decisions.
- Creating clear dashboards, monitoring key metrics of the direction.
- Building data infrastructure, creating pipelines, ETL processes.
- Analyzing metric deviations and developing the most suitable control methods for the business.
General expectations
- You are in your 2nd-4th year of bachelor’s degree, 1st-2nd year of master’s degree, 3rd-5th year of specialist degree, or have already received a diploma in a technical, mathematical, or IT specialty.
- You are ready to work from 30 hours per week.
- You have basic knowledge of SQL and Python.
- You can structure information and think critically.
- You understand the differences between product analytics and BI development.
Skills by specialization
BI Developers
- You have experience working with dashboards.
- You know the basic principles of data visualization.
- You understand how data marts and ETL processes are built – this will be a plus.
- You have examples of dashboards or other applications of data visualization skills in your portfolio – this will be a plus.
Product Analysts
- You know the basic principles of statistics and hypothesis testing.
- You conduct simple A/B tests.
- You know how to visualize data (we use Redash).
- You understand basic machine learning methods.
From us – salary and comfortable conditions
- Employment from 30 hours per week. After completing the program – full-time employment.
- Support and consultations. We will cover your meals and provide access to free online sessions with psychologists and consultations with lawyers.
- Work remotely or from the office. Choose your work format: remote or in one of Avito’s offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, and Nizhny Novgorod.
- Equipment and corporate libraries. You will receive a laptop, access to knowledge bases, and Avito’s internal libraries.
- Only real tasks. From day one, you will make decisions, take responsibility, and influence how Avito’s products work.

- Application (until June 4). Fill out the form and attach your resume.
- Testing and video interview (until June 8). Links for the test and video interview will be sent to your email for those who pass the screening.
- Technical interview. We will talk with experts from the analytics team.
- Meet the teams. The final stage where you will meet your future mentor and team.
