Project Manager for the Search Department

We are among the top 3 music services*. We have smart recommendations and a vast amount of content available throughout the day on multiple devices. We are looking for a Project Manager for the Search Department who will transform technical work into accurate and fast search results for listeners. You will build delivery processes, implement quality metrics, and coordinate teams to ensure search remains stable, relevant, and responsive — from the request to the track in the playlist.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and developing delivery processes: backlog planning, workflow organization, task boards, team ceremony facilitation;
- Defining and implementing a system of metrics reflecting delivery efficiency and task completion quality;
- Monitoring the execution of quarterly plans and priorities for tasks, technical debt, and product initiatives;
- Tracking defect (bug) metrics, maintaining product stability;
- Coordinating deadlines and task interdependencies with other development teams;
- Delving into technical details: analyzing and prioritizing tasks with engineers and analysts.
Success in this role will be ensured by:
- Technical literacy, experience interacting with engineering teams (previous experience as a System Analyst or QA is desirable);
- Understanding of development processes for complex technical products and services;
- Experience managing the development of mobile applications and/or backend teams;
- Successful experience managing large cross-team projects and features;
- Understanding of the ML lifecycle: practical experience with the ML lifecycle: data collection, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, and retraining;
- Skill in setting up and verifying data quality checks, experience with data drift metrics and feature monitoring;
- Understanding the mechanics of online experiments, A/B testing, traffic stratification, and results analysis;
- A plus: experience in recommendation systems, information retrieval, scoring.
