Travelpayouts: Product
Travelpayouts is a platform that helps monetize travel content, and is part of the Aviasales group of companies. We have become leaders in Russia and are developing our business in North America, Europe, and other regions. International markets already account for more than half of our revenue.
We are looking for a Product Manager for Native Ads — a direction focused on native ad formats embedded within the content of partner websites.
The main goal is to increase the revenue of this direction by selecting relevant offers, formats, and display moments, considering user experience and overall page monetization.
Product and Task
Native Ads is an existing product that we haven't paid much attention to for a long time. We are now bringing it back into focus: this is an important bet on diversifying Travelpayouts' product portfolio.
We need a product manager who will understand the current state of the product, find growth opportunities, and build its future development with a measurable contribution to the company's revenue.
We want to show offers that match the user's interests and the context of their trip. To do this, we need to understand who, what, when, and in which part of the page to show, how to design the block, and how it will interact with other monetization tools.
You will work with international traffic, personalization, ad mechanics, and user behavior. Deep product immersion and consistent experimentation are important here: small conversion improvements can yield significant financial results.
We expect you to independently analyze data and display logic, investigate the causes of events, and bring hypotheses to testing along with analysts, developers, designers, and the commercial team.
Attention check: instead of a cover letter, please tell us about a product hypothesis or experiment that allowed you to significantly impact revenue or conversion. How did you find the growth point? What data did you rely on? Why did you choose this particular hypothesis? What did you do personally and what business result did you achieve?
Where we start and how we evaluate results
Initially, you will need to understand the current formats, audience, display logic, and metrics, identify key limitations, and agree on priorities for the first experiments.
The main metrics are revenue and conversion for the direction. When evaluating changes, it's important to consider the total effect on page monetization: improving one block can affect the results of other tools.
Experience with ad networks, recommendation systems, marketplaces, or products where advertising, recommendations, and proprietary services share space on the same page will be a plus.
