SQL Developer

Wooppay team is looking for specialists 🚀

🔹 SQL Developer You will be involved in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the SQL code of our systems: writing complex SQL queries, developing procedures, functions, triggers, and views, working with indexes, and creating migrations.

Also, you will analyze execution plans, conduct code reviews and refactoring, and participate in resolving production incidents with the team.

Important: commercial experience in SQL development, a solid understanding of relational databases, transactions, and locks, experience with migrations and Git.

🔹 Database Engineer / DBA If you are interested not only in database administration but also in SQL development — this role might be for you. You will optimize queries and database structure, analyze execution plans, identify locks and deadlocks, monitor changes in Test and Production, handle backup/restore, replication, and fault tolerance.

Important: experience as a DBA or Database Engineer, strong SQL skills, understanding of indexes, locking, High Availability.

🔹 Product Analyst You will analyze product metrics for the B2C segment — funnels, retention, cohorts, calculate unit economics and fintech-specific metrics (GMV, payment success rate), set up tracking in Amplitude, build dashboards, and write SQL queries to PostgreSQL, automate analysis using Python. Important: experience with SQL and product analytics, Python (pandas/numpy), understanding of unit economics and fintech metrics.

For all three roles, experience in FinTech, banks, or payment systems, as well as with high-load databases, will be a plus. Work format: office in Karaganda or remote throughout Kazakhstan.
