Responsibilities
- Development of layout schemes: placement of compartments, units, onboard equipment, payload.
- Calculation and ensuring of balance, mass-inertia characteristics, stability, and controllability.
- Design of structural load-bearing elements.
- Elaboration of control surfaces and aerodynamic surfaces (rudders, wings, stabilizers).
- Integration of onboard systems: flight controller, engine, steering actuators, cable routes.
- Production and testing support.
- Preparation of design documentation according to ESKD (Unified System for Design Documentation).
- Interaction with production and selection of purchased parts and components.
Ideal Candidate Competencies
- Higher technical education: rocket and space technology, aircraft construction, flight dynamics, or general mechanical engineering, etc.
- Work experience as a design engineer — from 2 years.
- Proficient in one or more CAD systems, including SolidWorks, KOMPAS-3D.
- Knowledge of aerodynamics and flight dynamics, understanding of guidance and control system principles.
- Skills in performing engineering calculations of structural elements.
- Practical experience in preparing design documentation according to ESKD.
- Readiness for verification procedures.
Will be a plus
- Experience in designing aircraft.
- Programming skills: Python, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with aerodynamic CAE packages: Fluent, OpenFOAM, CFX.
- Experience working with GOST R V (military acceptance) standards or experience interacting with military representation.
- Hands-on experience assembling prototypes.
- Basic electronics skills (understanding of mounting locations, cable management).
