The clothing brand Le Papa invites a Product Director to the team, who will take on the brand's product strategy and transform Le Papa's philosophy into concrete collections, capsules, and products that are bought and worn.
Le Papa is a brand that creates clothing for men who find strength in the balance of opposites. For those who choose a conscious approach to style and appreciate the opportunity to express themselves through details.
We need a strategist and a practitioner in one person: someone who knows how to listen to the market, formulate hypotheses, assemble MVPs, and bring a product to launch, working in conjunction with design, production, marketing, and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Formulate the brand's product strategy and determine the company's direction for the coming seasons and years. Align it with business goals, positioning, and brand DNA.
- Market and Audience Research: Study customer needs, conduct segmentation, identify the target audience and key product use cases.
- Roadmap: Develop a product development roadmap. Define priorities, stages, and decision points.
- MVP and Priorities: Determine what to launch first. Formulate an MVP for a new capsule or line, set priorities for models, sizes, materials, and features.
- Hypotheses and Testing: Formulate product hypotheses and test them through real launches, sales, feedback, and returns.
- Cross-functional Work: Work closely with design, production, marketing, and sales. Synchronize deadlines, expectations, and results.
- Product Metrics: Analyze key product metrics: sales, sell-through, turnover, profitability, returns, repeat purchases.
- Feedback: Organize systematic collection of feedback from customers, retail, marketplaces, and wholesale partners.
- Post-Launch Development: Be responsible for product development after market entry. Refine, scale, and remove non-performing items from the assortment.
Candidate Expectations:
- Relevant Experience: Experience in product management in fashion, understanding the specifics of physical products and production.
- Customer Development and User Research: Ability to work with the audience, conduct research, interviews, analyze customer behavior.
- MVP and Launch: Practical experience in forming an MVP and bringing a product to market. Ability to start small and scale what works.
- Product Metrics: Proficient in key product metrics. Ability to make data-driven decisions, not just intuitive ones.
- Working with Design and Development: Experience interacting with designers, pattern makers, technologists, and production. Understanding the clothing creation cycle.
- Speed and Flexibility: Ability to work in a startup mode, make quick decisions, test hypotheses, and not be afraid of mistakes.
Company Offers:
- Opportunity to build the brand's product function from scratch and see the direct results of your work.
- Influence on strategy and real business decisions. Direct contact with the founders.
- Wide scope for implementing bold product ideas.
- Negotiable compensation terms.
- High speed of decision and hypothesis approval without unnecessary bureaucracy.
