Yandex's robotics division is relatively new, but we already use several types of robots in our warehouses. We have many successful external launches under our belt, and exciting new projects lie ahead.

We are looking for a Python developer to join our Robot Control Service. Our team models robot movement in the warehouse, distributes tasks among them, tracks task completion status, develops the business logic for robot operations, and gathers data from all devices in the warehouse, using it for business purposes.

What tasks await you

Robot Control Platform You will be building a platform that will become the brain and center of the ecosystem. It will determine which robot is best suited for a particular task, distribute and track operations, collect and analyze results, and notify about potential problems.

Robot Integration You will be implementing robots and creating a flexible system that allows for easy integration and the ability to change robot business logic on the fly. You will work on complex algorithms for distributing tasks among robots, closely collaborate with colleagues developing hardware to understand all the nuances of robotics, and automate business processes for handling non-standard situations, improving the stability and reliability of our products.

Infrastructure Tasks It is important that our solution can be sold to external users. Therefore, we need to make sure the application is easy to deploy both as a SaaS solution and on-premise. You will also dive into the infrastructure products of the larger Yandex ecosystem and find optimal solutions for robotics tasks.
