Billing is Yandex's internal financial platform that helps the company's services monetize. Our system processes business events and transactions from all Yandex services and performs financial calculations for them. Approximately 100 million events pass through our system daily, and this number is constantly growing.

Our team implements features into the platform that Yandex services require for business development and entering new markets. Any major launch of new products in Taxi, Direct, Market, Lavka, Eda, Kinopoisk, Music, and other Yandex services involves integration with our platform.

In addition, hardcore infrastructure tasks arise across all components of our system: improving fault tolerance when one or two data centers go down, speeding up system response time, optimizing mass data processing, and ensuring operation during sudden load spikes.

On top of that, we are actively restructuring our platform, transitioning to a microservices architecture and making it horizontally scalable, fully real-time, and flexible for implementing new functionality.

What tasks await you

We expect you to

• Have strong proficiency in Python or Go
• Have experience with DBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, ClickHouse) and complex SQL queries
• Approach tasks very responsibly and meticulously
• Know how to build distributed systems
• Know how to apply DevOps practices
