For a large project of transition from 1C:UUP to 1C:ERP / 1C:ERP.UKH, a functional architect / leading expert in the field of "Production Accounting, Cost Accounting and Cost of Goods Sold Calculation" is required. We are looking for a specialist with deep practical knowledge of 1C:ERP mechanisms, capable not only of describing customer requirements, but also of designing a target accounting model, taking into account the architecture and limitations of the standard 1C:ERP/ERP.UKH solution.
Main Tasks • Analysis of the customer's current methodology for production accounting, cost accounting, and actual cost of goods sold calculation in 1C:UUP and other active systems. • Design of the target model for cost accounting and cost of goods sold calculation in 1C:ERP / 1C:ERP.UKH. • Adaptation of the customer's current methodologies to the mechanisms, analytics, and methodology embedded in 1C:ERP/ERP.UKH. • Identification of functional gaps between the current methodology/1C:UUP and the target system, preparation of options for their elimination. • Design of analytical breakdowns for cost accounting and cost of goods sold. • Modeling of complex production scenarios and their impact on cost and cost of goods sold formation. • Elaboration of options for reflecting production: o using production orders and production stages; o using "Production without orders"; o mixed scenarios; o multi-stage production; o output of semi-finished and finished products; o allocation of direct and indirect costs. • Analysis of the movements of production documents in 1C:ERP registers and the impact of the chosen transaction reflection scheme on the cost of goods sold calculation. • Design and conduct of model examples for various production accounting options. • Analysis of the results of the cost of goods sold calculation and formulation of requirements for control and analytical reports. • Participation in the design of standard functional enhancements and preparation of functional specifications for developers. • Analysis of problems during the execution of standard month-end closing operations, search for root causes of cost of goods sold calculation errors, and methods for their elimination. • Expert support for analysts, consultants, and developers of the project team.
Mandatory Requirements The candidate must have deep practical experience with 1C:ERP 2.x and/or 1C:ERP.UKH and confidently understand not only the user functionality but also the internal logic of the cost accounting and cost of goods sold subsystem. Knowledge of the following is critically important: • mechanisms of production cost accounting in 1C:ERP; • cost allocation mechanisms; • algorithms for calculating actual cost of goods sold; • cost accounting and cost of goods sold analytics; • structure and purpose of the main accumulation registers and information registers used in cost accounting and cost of goods sold calculation; • mechanisms for detailing the cost of goods sold down to original/primary costs; • production documents and the movements they form; • production stage mechanisms; • "Production without orders" scenario; • month-end closing mechanisms in terms of cost allocation and cost of goods sold calculation; • methods for diagnosing errors and incorrect cost of goods sold calculation results. We need a specialist who can independently take a real business case of the customer and go through the chain: customer methodology → business process → 1C:ERP documents → register movements → cost allocation → cost of goods sold calculation → cost of goods sold detailing → accounting reflection and result control.
Requirements for Architectural Competencies The candidate must be able to not just reproduce existing 1C:UUP processes in a new system, but also determine how to implement them correctly using 1C:ERP/ERP.UKH. We expect the ability to: • correlate customer methodology with standard ERP mechanisms; • propose several implementation options and argue for them; • determine where changes to the customer's methodology/process are necessary, and where system enhancements are needed; • minimize unjustified deviations from the standard 1C architecture; • assess the impact of the solution on month-end closing, performance, and transparency of cost of goods sold calculation; • form the functional architecture of the solution and high-quality specifications for development.
Will be a significant advantage Experience in development on the 1C platform. The ideal candidate is a functional architect / coding consultant who is capable of: • reading 1C program code; • analyzing document posting algorithms; • finding the formation of register movements; • understanding standard algorithms for cost allocation and cost of goods sold calculation; • localizing the causes of errors together with the developer; • creating prototypes or small enhancements if necessary. The architect must understand the system at the level of metadata, registers, movements, and program code, not just the user interface. This important requirement is well confirmed by the reference profile: the specialist masters platform configuration and the 1C language, and on a project with ERP.UKH, directly developed an extension that optimizes standard cost calculation code for multi-stage production with detailed cost of goods sold.
Desirable Experience • participation in large-scale implementation projects of 1C:ERP/ERP.UKH in manufacturing enterprises; • experience in migration from 1C:UUP to 1C:ERP/ERP.UKH; • experience in multi-stage, make-to-order, and complex production accounting; • design of cost accounting and cost calculation methodology; • experience with large volumes of data; • month-end closing optimization; • participation in surveys, conceptual design, modeling, and pilot operation; • experience interacting with RSBU/NU methodologists, production departments, and developers.
What kind of specialist we are ultimately looking for We are not looking for an analyst who knows where documents are in ERP, nor a pure cost methodologist. We need an expert at the level of Functional Architect / Solution Architect in production accounting who simultaneously understands: production accounting methodology + 1C:ERP architecture + internal cost mechanisms + registers + production documents + month-end closing + basics of 1C development
