We develop high-load distributed systems for data transportation that help personalize various applications.

Our team operates at the intersection of Yandex's product and infrastructure. Our runtime services process up to 2 million requests per second during peak moments, and our data processing systems handle petabytes of data daily.

Our data is needed by Yandex Search, Yandex Advertising Network, Market, Taxi, and many other services. The load grows along with the emergence of new product requirements, so we are constantly developing and optimizing our services. Some nodes in our systems have almost reached their scalability limits, so we need to create completely new products.

What tasks await you

Development of components You will create new links that will connect the product with Yandex's internal infrastructure.

Performance optimization You will actively seek and implement optimizations — for the entire system as a whole, as well as for individual components and libraries.

Infrastructure development You will write high-performance code, improve system stability, and develop tools for analyzing and preemptively eliminating unforeseen issues.

Scaling solutions You will participate in large-scale projects to implement new architectural solutions that will allow us to continue growing.

We expect you to have

• Primarily developed in C++, and also used Python for auxiliary tasks
• Know classical algorithms and data structures
• Understand multithreading paradigm, be familiar with main algorithms and common problems in this field
• Be ready to build high-load, fault-tolerant distributed systems
