About the role
At Altery, we're building products that make finance feel seamless in a fragmented world. We build the technology that helps businesses and people move money across borders, currencies and digital assets, without the friction.
Behind every simple payment is a complex system, and a team that makes it work. We look for people who enjoy solving difficult problems, challenge each other with respect and care about doing great work.
We're now looking for a Sales Executive CaaS (Card as a Service ) to join our Altery Platform team. You'll help businesses launch cards and financial products under their own brand, and your success will be measured by how well those products work for their customers.
What you'll be doing at Altery
- Win new platform customers for our card issuing and embedded finance products across the EU, CIS and LatAm.
- Start every conversation with "What are you building?", and learn your customer's product and end users before proposing a solution.
- Turn product categories into customer value: not "white-label cards", but "your customers pay with a card that carries your logo".
- Build the business case with each customer, showing what their card programme will earn them through interchange share, card fees and FX, not just what it costs.
- Position our FCA and CBC licences and our principal membership of Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay as a real advantage: a faster, safer way to launch.
- Lead long, multi-stakeholder deals through to signature, working with CEOs, CTOs, compliance and finance teams on the customer side.
- Build lasting partnerships with customers whose revenue grows as their own customer base grows.
- Bring market feedback to our product team and help shape a product that is still being built.
What you'll bring to us
Must-haves
- 3–5 years of B2B sales in infrastructure fintech, such as card issuing, BaaS or embedded finance.
- Experience selling a regulated financial product, and the ability to present regulation as a strength rather than a burden.
- A clear understanding of card programme economics: interchange and revenue share, active card and authorisation fees, FX margin.
- Knowledge of how card issuing works, including BIN sponsorship, principal membership and how a licensed issuer differs from a programme manager.
- Experience working with customers in or around the crypto economy, and confidence in that market.
- A track record of closing long-cycle deals with several decision-makers.
- Enough technical fluency to talk comfortably about APIs, sandboxes and integration with a CTO.
- Fluent English and Russian.
Nice to have
- Spanish, for our LatAm markets.
- Experience at a card issuing, BaaS or embedded finance provider, so you already know our customers' language and objections.
- A clear view of the competitive landscape, and the ability to explain how a licensed issuer stands apart in a couple of sentences.
How you work
- You love what you do: you care about customers and are honest about what we can and can't offer, never promising markets or features that aren't agreed.
- You take ownership: you drive complex deals forward and keep them moving until they close.
- You collaborate: you share what you hear from the market and help our product team build what customers need.
How we value you
Here's what you can expect when you join Altery:
- Competitive compensation that rewards your contribution.
- Flexible working. Wherever you are, you work your local hours with flexibility, and we all come together during core hours, 9am-2pm UK time. Near a hub? We'd love to see you from time to time, but we care more about outcomes than office hours.
- Wellbeing support, including additional sick leave when you need it.
- Opportunities to grow your career by taking ownership, expanding your skills and making a real impact.
Why join us
- A team that has your back: we're team players, not solo stars. People here are quick to help and ready to collaborate.
- Ownership from day one: you're trusted to make decisions, try new things and lead from wherever you are.
- Built by a global team: our team spans countries, cultures and time zones, and those different perspectives help us build for customers around the world.
- High standards, continuous growth: you'll be encouraged to learn, challenge assumptions and help raise the bar.
- Resilient by design: we're a startup, so we don't expect easy days, we expect progress. When challenges come, you'll never face them alone.
