Java/Kotlin Developer in FinTech (Yandex Pay Card Development Group)

First and foremost, we develop the most important and fundamental product of Yandex Bank — the Pay card. Specifically, we work on features such as managing the card's lifecycle (creation, freezing, setting a PIN code, card delivery), processing and displaying card transactions and auto-replenishment, including at the moment of payment from another bank.

We also support and develop loyalty programs in the bank and related projects: selecting and awarding points for higher monthly spending categories, receiving cashback for a certain balance level, completing missions in the bank and receiving prizes for them, and others. Although the core cashback accrual engine is in the process of being migrated to another team, we still have and will continue to have projects related to loyalty.

As in the entire bank, we use a microservice architecture, PostgreSQL and YDB databases, the Kafka message broker, and Prometheus and Grafana for metrics and monitoring.

Here, you can work out the solution architecture yourself together with the team and present it at architectural reviews, grow professionally together with the team by discussing solutions and conducting code reviews for each other.

What tasks await you

Development of FinTech services You will be designing, developing, and launching microservices for financial services, improving their fault tolerance, reliability, and performance, and developing infrastructure, development tools, and processes.

We expect that you

• Are proficient in Java or Kotlin, or proficient in any other OOP language but are willing to write in Kotlin
• Know core algorithms and data structures
• Know SQL, have worked with relational databases
• Are attentive to details and take a responsible approach to work
