In this role, you will:
- Interact with product teams: gather and analyze needs, develop and describe business requirements for new functionality;
- Develop user scenarios;
- Translate business requirements into technical language, write testing and acceptance criteria;
- Interact with a team of developers, analysts, engineers, Data Scientists: convey requirements, write technical specifications, monitor development timelines and quality;
- Oversee development and implementation (syncs, ceremonies);
- Test ML models and new functionality, evaluate recommendation effectiveness;
- Conduct A/B tests: design experiments, select primary and proxy metrics, analyze results, and make decisions based on metric changes;
- Define SLAs for recommendation services, agree with product teams, prepare requirements for load testing;
- Oversee the regular deployment of new functionality (monitoring);
- Analyze bugs after the implementation of new and existing recommendation functionality;
- Create tasks for documentation updates, control documentation;
- Scale surfaces for listening to content in streaming.
Success in this role will be ensured by:
- 2+ years of product experience with an ML component as an analyst or project manager;
- Understanding of development processes, experience in setting tasks for development, and writing technical specifications;
- Preferably, understanding of technical and product metrics for recommendation systems and ranking;
- Ability to communicate in the client's language and ask the right questions to understand their “pain”;
- Structured thinking: ability to break down large tasks into smaller parts, document business requirements and your own documents clearly;
- Systemic approach: ability to separate the important from the secondary and systematize information;
- Independence: you don't need to be micromanaged, you come up with ideas, questions, problems, and solutions on your own.
