Alice Testing Engineer

Yandex's voice assistant Alice lives not only in mobile devices, but also in Yandex Station, Yandex TV, the mobile and web application of Alice, as well as in other products. We are looking for an engineer who will help create new features in the web version of Alice. We need a person with experience in testing web applications.

What tasks await you

Testing You will test the Alice web application — both its internal components and functionality, as well as check cross-team features.

Documentation You will create and improve test documentation.

Team interaction You will work with the development team and managers to make decisions to improve the service.

Release cycle You will support and manage the release cycle of services.

We expect that you

• Are accustomed to working with web products from the UI and backend side
• Understand how testing and development processes work
• Have maintained test documentation
• Know how client-server architecture works
• Have worked with logging systems
• Are inquisitive and ready to understand new technologies

Will be a plus

• Have tested products that use machine learning technologies
• Have worked with speech recognition and text-to-speech systems
• Have worked with microservice architecture and sockets
